This legendary ensemble returns to Houston for their 34th performance with CMH in as many years. They continue to impress. Mozart’s quartet is one of the six masterpieces he dedicated to Haydn. Verdi’s one and only work in this genre brings operatic drama to the string quartet, while Beethoven’s revolutionary “Rasumovsky” tops off the evening and the season in this momentous Emerson Quartet performance.

“… with musicians like this, there must be some hope for humanity.”
